Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let it Snow

I've been given the go-ahead to post some of the winter/Christmas samples that I worked on for the Stampendous MOA booth! I still haven't stamped anything in my new stamp room and it will probably be a few more days before I get any time to play. First I must finish my samples with the new PaperTrey sets! If you haven't heard yet, Nichole is releasing 4 seasonal sets on September 15th! She's already started the countdown on her blog and you don't want to miss out! They are all awesome! But for now... back to these cards. I think I've said this before, but I LOVE non-traditional color combinations! I love using pink and blue to create a soft snowy scene. It almost makes the snow seem warm! I used the Row of Winter Trees stamp from Stampendous. It's embossed with silver EP and colored with Copic markers. The background is stamped in Silver Encore ink with one of the mini stamps from the Open Poinsettia Set. I also added Class A'Peels holographic stickers to the background. Here are a few cool things about the Class A'Peels stickers: 1) They're microwave and dishwasher safe. I can already picture my wine glasses decorated all pretty for winter! 2) You can use Copic markers (or any alcohol-based marker) to color the stickers. I tried this on a couple other cards... it's fun to have snowflakes that match the cardstock! The organdy ribbon is from American Crafts and the white brads are Making Memories. The second card uses pretty much the same supplies except for the main image and background use the Snow Rings stamp. All of the snowflakes are embossed with silver EP and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is from the Class A'Peels Chainletter Snow sticker sheet. I have one more bit of news before I sign off for today! Stampendous has asked me to travel with them again to Memory Trends in Las Vegas next week. If you're planning to be there, I would love to meet you! I will only be there on Tuesday, Sept. 18th so stop by the booth and say hello! We'll be doing another great make and take involving a clear pail! Thanks for stopping by today!

Funny, I came to post how beautiful the silver embossing is and how much it adds to the top card especially and then for some reason read the posts that were left -- I normally don't read other posts -- so I found it funny that the very thing that drew me to the cards is what turns off someone else. Guess that is why we all have opinions. Thanks for sharing.
