A Double Challenge

A few weeks ago, my friend Jen Del Muro issued a challenge to several stampers. She sent us each a stamped image of Night Things by Penny Black. The challenge was to make it into a card (or project) and post it to our blogs. It will be fun to see what everyone does with the same image! So... why is this a double challenge?? Well, I needed a little kick on the layout so I ran over to Sherry's blog and found this sketch from a challenge issued by Sherry and Jeanne. I loved the stitching that Sherry did on her sample, but me and sewing machines aren't friends so I brought out my All in a Row set and stamped the stitching. While stamping the stitching, my image was sitting off to the side, but apparently a little too close because I stamped the stitches right on it! I hate it when that happens!! I only had one image so I had to make it work. I stamped a few more stitches on the image and called it good. The very critical eye of my husband said it looked like I meant to do that. Perhaps he was just trying to be nice! LOL! The image is colored with Copic markers and the ghost is covered with a fun flock and glitter combo. The patterned paper is from the Heidi Grace Jeepers Creepers Collection. The sentiment is from MFT's Fright Night. The bat brad is from Oriental Trading Co. and the ribbon is May Arts from StarLitStudio. And a little tidbit of exciting personal news... Jon and I are going to the Dave Matthews Band concert tonight at the Hollywood Bowl! We both love DMB and the concerts are always beyond expectation! I can't wait!

what a cute card! I don't think Jon was just trying to be nice - it really looks as if the stitches were meant to be on the image as well; makes your card look put together =) thanks for sharing boo-boos, it's nice to know that mistakes can still be salvaged =)

have fun tonight!

Well, those stitches certainly do like you meant them to be there -- they are just adorable! Bet that fuzzy, glittery ghost is fabulous IRL! Wait 'til you see mine -- we used almost the same layout!!
