S.W.A.K. Down

I've been called out by my friend, Lisa Johnson to her valentine's version of a smack down... appropriately named S.W.A.K-down! She challenged several PTI lovin' bloggers to see what we could come up with using her mini heart notecard template. I decided to incorporate the notecard into a full card. I traced Lisa's template onto Real Red cardstock and cut it out. Then I traced it again onto white cardstock and cut further inside the line to make the inner and outer white hearts. The 'love' sentiment and the hearts are from PaperTrey's Borders & Corners Hearts set and I borrowed the 'note' from a Stampendous stamp. The heart is sealed with velcro so it's easy to pop open and see the little love note inside. The background behind the notecard was stamped with the label image from PaperTrey's Sweet Love in Palette Noir ink. The patterned paper is Love Factory fabric paper by Love, Elsie. The ribbon is May Arts from StarLitStudio. I created the scalloped border using one of the Spellbinders scalloped rectangle dies. I think this will be Jon's Valentine's Day card this year! I love it when I can work ahead! :) I left the inside blank for now so all I have to do before Valentine's Day is come up with something clever for the inside of my love note. Make sure you check out the creations of the other S.W.A.K down participants: Lisa, Emily, Lauren, Debbie, Becky, Julie, Lynn, Jenn, Amy, Nichole, and Geny! If you want to participate too, you can download Lisa's pattern here! Hope you all have a wonderful day! Stay tuned tomorrow for Cupcake Friday!
