Bold Carnations Gift Set

Good morning! I have more Inque Boutique creations to show you today in honor of Everything Inque Day(s)! If you haven't heard, everything at the Purple Turtle Stamp Shoppe is 20% off when you use the coupon code awesome upon checkout. Inque Boutique has so many great images and they are such a great value as well! I decided to use the Bold Carnations stamps for this gift set. My youngest sister and I are driving to the "middle of nowhere" Arizona over the 4th of July weekend to visit our sister Whitney. She is doing missions work on an Indian reservation over the summer. Whitney's birthday is in July so I'm in the process of putting together a birthday/care package for her. She loves to journal so I thought this would be perfect to chronicle her summer on the reservation. I've had this plain journal forever... in fact, I think I picked it up at a garage sale several year ago. I used Stampin' Up patterned paper from the Ginger Blossoms collection and overstamped Bold Carnations in Versafine black ink. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how well these bold images stamped! You know when you have such large images you almost expect that a portion of it won't stamp cleanly? But with Stephanie's secret weapon and a bit of elbow grease, the images stamped perfectly! I used Papertrey's Trajan Monogram Alphabet for the "journal" lettering. For the matching card, I started with CPS Sketch #71. I stamped the Bold Carnation onto a 2"x3" piece of Papertrey Kraft cardstock and cut it into three 1" segments. Then I mounted the segments onto black cardstock and separated the image slightly. The sentiment is from Papertrey's Mixed Messages. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a relaxing Sunday! Stay tuned tomorrow for another Inque Boutique creation on the last day of the sale!
