Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #26

Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! Are you all ready for the weekend? I am! It has been a loooong week since returning home from CHA! My friend Jami let me borrow another one of her stamps for this cupcake card. I used the new Cupcake Chef from Inky Antics. Isn't he so cute!? I stamped the chef on Shimmer White cardstock and colored him with Copic markers. The patterned paper is Splendid from the Crate Paper Sweet Branch collection. The sentiment is from Papertrey's Mixed Messages and the rhinestone brads are from Stampin' Up. It just so happens that today I'm also hosting a challenge for the Dare to Get Dirty event in celebration of the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen anniversary! It you're a member of the Fan Club, you can check out the challenge here... it's a *sweet* one! If you're not a member of the Fan Club you can check out how to become a member here. You'll receive some great perks and help support a site that means so much to all of us stampers! Now let me introduce you to the Featured Cupcake Sampler this week! Denise Marzec blogs at The Paper Landscaper and recently joined the Dirty Dozen Design Team. She picked one of my favorite cupcake images to make a sweet creation using this week's sketch. Thanks for sampling the sketch, Denise! Now it's your turn to try the sketch! I'll chose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be featured on my blog during Cupcake Friday. One random winner will also be selected from among all the participants to receive 2 Copic markers! You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :) You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the prize drawing and Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If you're uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC26 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 26). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery upload so I can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, July 28th at 8am PST to be eligible for the prize drawing. I can't wait to see what you come up with! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

And you definitely don't want to miss the wonderful inspiration from the Cupcake Crew this week!

This is the first card I have ever created for a challenge. It was so much fun, I really must do it again!

I changed the sketch slightly. My image turned out to be a bit bigger than what I thought it would be, so I had to put the sentiment to the sides of the main image, and my bling was placed on the slant of the pp on the top and the bottom of the image.

Please check out my card on my blog.

By the way, love your blog. It's one of my faves.
