Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #28

Apology: If you're here to see my Divine Design creation, please stop back tomorrow! I had some things happen that prevented me from finishing my challenge creation. I hope you will come back tomorrow to see it. In the meantime, check out the beautiful challenge creations from Lori, Jami, Nancy, and Angel! Happy Friday... Happy Cupcake Day... and Happy 08-08-08! :) It's Christmas in August as both myself and the Featured Cupcake Stampler were in the mood for a Christmas creation using this sketch. I pulled out the brand new Eclectic Paperie exclusive stamp set called Merry Muffins for my sample. So many possibilities with all of my favorite Stampendous characters. The Merry Muffins set goes on sale today, so check it out here! I colored the image with Copic markers and added white liquid applique to the frosting. I decided to match up the cutesy image with some cutesy Christmas patterned paper by Heidi Grace. I used Papertrey Ink's Polka Dot Basics for the background and ribbon from Taylored Expressions for the strips across the bottom of my image panel. The finished card fits in a standard size 10 envelope. Now let me introduce you to the Featured Cupcake Sampler this week. Sarah's cute and clever creation really caught my eye last week and this week is no exception. She created this beautiful Santa card using the sketch. I love her coloring and the cute star embellishment! Make sure you check out the rest of Sarah's beautiful designs on her blog, Scrampin' Mama. Thanks for sampling the sketch this week, Sarah! Now it's your turn to try the sketch! I'll chose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be featured on my blog during Cupcake Friday. One random winner will also be selected from among all the participants to receive a package of Stampendous chipboard clipboards! You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :) You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the prize drawing and Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If you're uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC28 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 28). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery upload so I can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, August 11th at 8am PST to be eligible for the prize drawing. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Don't forget to check out all the new prodcuts at Taylored Expressions too. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

And you definitely don't want to miss the wonderful inspiration from the Cupcake Crew this week!
