Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #42

Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! As you now know, I'm in Dallas for the weekend visiting with Sharon, Jess, Jami, Jenn, and Lori! We're having a great time! I'll share more pics when I get back on Saturday night. For today's sketch sample I went with the More is More mentality. I used patterned papers from the Pebbles, Inc. Snow Fun Collection and the snowman cupcake from the Home Sweet Home set. I colored the image with Copic markers and paper pieced his scarf and hat. The sentiment is also from the Home Sweet Home set. I added the snowflake crystals to the background for lots of sparkle. I also switched up the sketch a tad and created a square card instead of a standard A2 card. Now it's time to introduce you the Featured Cupcake Sampler. Steph caught my eye last week with her sweet and simple style. I loved her Tangled in Trimmings card! This week she has not one... not two... but three adorable samples to share with us! You can check out all three of her creations and the details on this *cute* cuppie caroler card on her blog: HandKrafted by Stephanie. Thanks so much for sampling the sketch this week, Steph! Now it's your turn to to try the sketch! I'll choose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be featured on my blog during Cupcake Friday. You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If you're uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC42 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 42). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery upload so I can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, November 17th at 8am PST to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler. If you're interested in more cupcakes today, stop by the SASI blog and check out Our Friday Friend this week. She's sharing her beautiful artwork and her favorite cupcake recipe. You won't want to miss it! Also learn how you can become our next Friday Friend on the SASI blog! I can't wait to see what you come up with for the sketch! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

And you definitely don't want to miss the wonderful inspiration from the Cupcake Crew this week!
