Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #44

Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Hopefully you're not still wobbling from all the gobbling you did! :) I'm really looking forward to today because I have a whole day to tackle a long to-do list. Jon is helping coach an area high-school basketball team and they have practice in the morning to prepare for a game tomorrow. But the second he gets home we're breaking out the Christmas decorations! Hopefully you'll have some stamping time this weekend as well, because I have a super fun sketch for you to try! I pulled out my Season's Sweetings set for this card. This cute little earmuff cuppie was the only stamp in the set still uninked. I certainly had to change that right away! I colored the image with Copics, added a Red Candy Dot for the cherry, and highlighted the cupcake with Crystal Stickles. The patterned paper is American Crafts and the red glimmer ribbon is from the TE store. The sentiment is a rub-on from Joann's. Now let me introduce you to the Featured Cupcake Sampler this week! Karen Giron caught my eye with the adorable birthday card she created last week. I love Karen's sweet and simple style and she's done it again with the sketch this week. I love the unique ribbon treatment and the pretty rhinestones in the middle of the flower. You can check out all the details on this card and the rest of Karen's beautiful work on her blog: The Sweetest Thing! Thanks for sampling the sketch this week, Karen! Now it's your turn to to try the sketch! I'll choose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be featured on my blog during Cupcake Friday. You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If you're uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC44 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 44). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery upload so I can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, December 1st at 8am PST to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler. If you're interested in more cupcakes today, stop by the SASI blog and check out Our Friday Friend this week. She's sharing her beautiful artwork and her favorite recipe... her favorite banana nut bread! You won't want to miss it! Also learn how you can become our next Friday Friend on the SASI blog! I can't wait to see what you come up with for the sketch. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

And don't forget to check out the wonderful inspiration from the Cupcake Crew this week!
