For my sweetheart

Good morning! I sat down last night to create a special gift for my sweetheart for Valentine's Day. My stamp room is quite a mess (as usual) and I didn't have anything specific in mind for the gift so I decided to do a little clean up first. Does cleaning give you creative energy? I think most people would probably say no, but there's something about cleaning my stamp room that gives me great ideas! I think it's because I actually take the time to look in all the little nooks and crannies and I always discover something I didn't remember I had. Such was the case with this little project. I found some acetate accordian albums tucked away in the corner of my room along with a bunch of the Provo Craft band-aid tins. Then I got on the computer and printed out a couple of my favorite J&T pics and started on my layout. Here are some closeup shots:

I used Zva Creative black crystal swirls on this panel. The hearts are cut out from some Heidi Swapp Carefree Hearts patterned paper and I used the Papertrey Simple Alphabet to stamp the You & Me sentiment. The 'kiss' word and definition were cut out from a piece of 7 Gypsies patterned paper. This is one of my favorite pictures from our wedding (almost 5 years ago... time flies!).

I used the Zva Creative crystal alphabet on these two panels. The letters are adhered to 1 1/4" circle punches and layered over 1 1/2" scalloped punches. The heart borders are from the Heidi Swapp Carefree Hearts patterned paper. All of the scallops are popped up on dimensionals.

And for the last panel I chose an oldie but a goodie... one of the pictures from our session of engagement photos. I used more Zva black crystal swirls, some American Crafts ribbon, and a heart brad to finish off the layout.

Then I needed something to hold my accordian album so I decorated this band-aid tin. I used the same Heidi Swapp Carefree Hearts paper and Zva black crystal swirls. I created a heart out of the parentheses that come with the crystal alphabet package and layered it onto a 1 1/2" scalloped circle. The ribbon tied around the handle is American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Now if that isn't love, I don't know what is. The way your husband kisses you and you laugh, I can tell how much in love you are.
