Downtown Diva - Shop 'til you Drop

Thank you for all of your advice about our cat scratching issue! Despite Jen's unnerving story about her cat getting stuck in the carpet, I'm going to go ahead and purchase the Soft Paws today. As much as I want to get the hot pink ones, I think I'll stick with the clear and maybe even fool Morris into thinking those are his real claws. Probably not, huh? :) I'll keep you posted on how it goes! While Jon was watching Iowa play in the Insight Bowl last night, I decided to steal some time away in my stamp room. For the most part I usually enjoy watching football, but by this time of the year I've had enough! So I popped in a movie and pulled out an old favorite, Downtown Diva, to create what I call a "fussy card." Sometimes it's just fun to fuss with all the little details and I was in that kind of mood last night. I still had the Tickled Pink patterned paper on my desk so I started by coloring the images with Copics to match the paper. The little shoppers are from a separate image in the set so after coloring, I cut them out and popped them up on foam tape. I added a Red Rhinestone cherry to each Cuppie along with some Island Lagoon rhinestones to define the corners. I also added Glossy Accents to all the windows. And then my favorite little part is the shopping bag embellishment! I've had these little bags in my stash for as long as I can remember so I decorated it with patterned paper to match, punched a sentiment for the front, and added a bit of tissue to the inside of the bag. I had such fun with my fussy card, but maybe I'll do sweet and simple tomorrow!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
