Sir Henry is my knight in shining armor! But before adding Sir Henry I wanted to create a scene for him so I stamped the castle from Royal Digs in the background. I didn't want to get too fussy so I just added color to the windows and flags and paper pieced the turrets. I added a little patterned paper 'hill' to the scene as well. All of the patterned paper on the card is from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Breeze 6x6 Pad. After finishing the scene I stamped and colored Sir Henry with Copics and cut him out. Then I used a cool new product that we discovered at CHA called Wobble Springs! I popped Sir Henry onto a Wobble Spring. You just can't get the full effect from a picture, but he wobbles around when you touch him!
Here's a closeup side view of the Wobble Spring. These are great because they give much more dimension than foam tape, but the spring also flattens for mailing (and then pops right back out when your recipient opens the envelope!). This is a brand new product and you can find it right here... 5 Wobble Springs for $1.95! To finish off the card I used the Majestic Border Die and added a few pearl accents and a sentiment from the Sir Henry petite set. For my second sneak peek I used another adorable Moka illustrated by Nancy McKinney. Her name is April and she's here just in time for Easter! I colored her with Copics and paper pieced her dress with a pattern from the My Mind's Eye Vanity Fair 6x6 pad. I cut her out with the Spellbinders Nested Egg die, airbrushed inside the die line, and added Ice White pearls around the outside. Then I used the new A Tisket A Tasket die set to create a cute little matching embellishment for the card.
Here's a closeup of the Easter basket. I love that I can create my own embellishment to perfectly match my card. It was so fun putting all the little pieces together... like my very own Jolee's (you know those fancy embellishments!?). To finish off the card I added a sentiment from the Moka April set, a few Split pea rhinestones, and some ribbon from my stash. Before you head out, I have one more exciting announcement! The Moka Hair Color chart has been an amazingly popular resource and I'm excited to let you all know that we've updated it to include skin color combinations! But wait for the best part...it's still FREE! You can find it right here. With this new stamp release we'll also be introducing three Copic Skin Color kits to complement our current Copic Hair Color kits!
