Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peeks Day 3

Hey there! Good morning! I'm so glad you're here for our third day of sneak peeks for our September release and Birthday Bash! Have you submitted your answers for our Guess the Artist Contest? There are two free stamp sets up for grabs and you can find out how to win HERE! We're also hosting our monthly preview party on our Facebook Fan Page tonight at 6pm PST. There will be TE gift certificates up for grabs so set your alarm...you won't want to miss it!

We're moving on from the birthday themed stamps and getting into my very favorite holiday, Halloween! Today the Baker's Dozen and I are sharing sneak peeks using Totally Tags Halloween, Fa-BOO-lous, Graphic Greetings Halloween, Trick or Treat Word A la Carte, and several new dies!

Halloween went by in a blur last year as Madelyn was just 6 weeks old and we still weren't getting much sleep around here. I did manage to get out my decorations though! After Halloween I boxed them up and I was taking them down to the basement when I lost my balance on the stairs. The entire box went flying down the stairs and into the wall at the bottom of our landing. I heard the most awful 'breaking glass' noises and I was afraid to open the box. I finally opened it to find that everything that was breakable had broken (along with my heart!). I've been collecting decorations for years when they go on clearance because I hate to spend full price for a decoration that only sits out for a month! So this year I decided to put my thinking cap on and use our new stamps to make my own decor! I started with the Fa-BOO-lous stamp set, which I designed for the *te* collection. I have a 'thing' for witch feet and I love framed images so I paired those two loves and came out with this fun set! Each of the images is surrounded by a frame so I started by stamping the images and coloring them with Copics. Then I used patterned papers from our Tricks & Treats Project Pantry Kit and paper pieced around each image by cutting the middle out of the patterned paper and gluing it over the top of the image panel. I picked up the unfinished wood frame at Michael's along with some Martha Stewart glitter paint and gave it a good coat. There's glass inside each frame so I better be careful when I'm putting my Halloween decorations away this year! *grin*

My second project also uses the Fa-BOO-lous stamp set and the new Spiderweb Shadowbox Card Kit for Halloween.

Each of the Shadowbox Card Kits comes with all of the pre-cut and scored pieces to create a beautiful shadowbox card. You just need to add the stamps, die cuts, and embellishments of your choice. My sample uses an image and sentiment from Fa-BOO-lous in the middle along with the new Spiders & Spiderweb die set and the Spiderweb Border die. Here's a look at the dies that I used on this project:

For my next project I used the Tricks & Treats Shadowbox Card Kit along with the Toil & Trouble stamp set and Apothecary Shelf which were originally released last year. They're still some of my favorite Halloween stamps and they work perfectly with this shadowbox.

I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics. Then I just glued all the pieces together! It was actually really quick and easy! Take a look at this video that shows some of our previously released Shadowbox Card Kits so you can see how easy they are to assemble!

And now for my last Halloween project which tops the list for quick and cute!

I like to make special Halloween treats for our nephews and neighborhood friends. I've used Potion Bottles and Test Tubes in the past, so this year I decided to fill a few of the Bigger Bitty Bags with candy. I stamped the new Graphic Greetings Halloween and attached it to each bag with Halloween Doodle Twine. I also added a spiderweb die cut from black cardstock and created a closure for the bags by punching a few circles and attaching with a brad.

The rest of the gals have super faboolous Halloween projects to share with you today too so hop around and check 'em out!
