Embracing Grace - Anniversary Blog Hop

Hey there! This month marks the one year anniversary of the Embracing Grace collection of stamps illustrated by Emily Burger. The Baker's Dozen and I are celebrating by sharing projects using Emily's very set Love Grows Here!

I'm so grateful to have Emily as part of the TE team and I can't believe it's already been a year! I feel like it was yesterday that she sent me her drawings that eventually became her very first stamp set, Love Grows Here. Since then Emily has added 12 more stamp sets to her growing collection! I love each and every one of them, but my all-time favorite award still belongs to Love Grows Here! Thank you, Emily, for sharing your talents with Taylored Expressions! I'm so excited to continue growing your collection of cute and simple designs!

For my card I started with patterned paper from the American Crafts Seen & Noted 6x6 pad. Of course, I was drawn to the bright colors in this collection! Then I grabbed Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #76 for the layout. I couldn't remember the last time I'd make a circle card so that's why I went with this sketch. I cut out the scalloped layer with Spellbinders Grand Nestibilities Scalloped Circles. I colored the tree with Copics, rounded the corners of the image panel, and then flagged the sentiment by hand. To follow the sketch I created my own little flower with punches (you'll have to picture the rhinestone centered on the flower... not sure how it got wonky on there but I didn't want to re-do my picture! lol). I also added my own little squiggly doodles with white gel pen.

I mentioned that Emily has illustrated 12 other stamp sets in addition to this one so I thought I'd share a few more of my favorites from her collection:

These samples are from Bon Voyage, Fruity Friends, and Party Monsters. Emily has also illustrated Bikes & Trikes, Faith in Bloom, Far Out, Let's Chat, Love Monsters, Totally Tags Valentine, The Cool Crowd, Reindeer Food, and Sky's the Limit. Here are all the sets... just click on one to see the full set in the TE Store:

In addition to being super talented, Emily is also super sweet and generous and has donated a prize for one lucky winner! The winner will receive their choice of two sets of Emily's mirror cards (one for you and one to give away to a friend!). The winner will be  chosen by a random drawing from the comments left on all the posts in today's blog hop. I'll be announcing the winner here tomorrow morning!

So hop along to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has made with the Love Grows Here stamp set and leave your comments along the way:
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here tomorrow morning for the launch of our November sneak peeks!
