Before I get going with my weekend plans I wanted to stop by and share a couple more projects that I made for our December Spotlights! I'm loving these new petite sets, especially the ones with the coordinating dies. It's everything I need in one little package...just add paper!
I'm going to start off by sharing the card I made using Tea-riffic and the coordinating stacked teacup die:
I stamped the image in Memento Espresso Truffle ink, colored the image with Copics, and cut it out with the coordinating die. I layered it onto a Spellbinders petite oval and petite scalloped oval. Then I cut various patterns from the Art Angel 8x8 pad with the small scalloped border die and layered them to create the frilly scalloped bottom. Then I finished it off with some button heart candy dots, seam binding and a little twine. In the words of Jen Shults, "every card needs some twine!".
The second project I made uses the gorgeous new Stargazer Lily Bouquet, the newest in a series of bouquet petite sets that Nancy illustrates:
The sentiments in the bouquet sets fit inside the Mini Tags dies so I stamped the Praying for You sentiment onto a die cut tag and tied it around the vase with burlap twine. I colored the image with Copics in a peachy/orange combo to match the MME Tangerine patterned paper. The image was cut out with Label Stacklets 2 and sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Inks. I overlaid the Quatrefoil die cut background on top of the patterned paper and added a bit of crochet trim from my stash to finish it off.
Thanks so much for tuning in today! The Baker's Dozen is back at it again with more Petite-a-Palooza inspiration! Check out their blogs and leave 'em some love!
